The dress I never showed you

Irgendwie ist mir vorhin aufgefallen, dass ich euch bisher mein Kleid, das ich für die Abiverabschiedung bestickt hatte, noch garnicht gezeigt habe. Hier ist es also. Ich hoffe ihr könnt euch noch ein wenig daran erinnern, welche Ideen ich dabei hatte. Falls nicht klickt doch nochmal zu den alten Posts: hier and hier

DIY - I

Hello everyone.
Before I start to explain what I made a few weeks ago, I have to tell you that actually my 'abitur' is not over yet. I'll have a last examination on thursday to improve my average. This is one of the reasons I didn't post the last days.

But now here's what I did to design my grandma's old clothes-pin bag.

I) I started by ironing the bag.

II) For the mainpart you'll need some buttons, iron-ons, lace parts or pearls. Simply everything you want to have on your bag. Now drape the items until you like their position. 

III) Last thing you'll have to do is attach the buttons etc. on the fabric. How you do that depends on the items.

I think it's always good to sew or glue on everything, this probably lets it last longer.

I'll show my final result tomorrow.

this will be the start of something new, it feels so right to be here with you

 

Soooo this is the dress I finally ended up with. The funny thing is I don't know yet in which way I will wear it. On one side there are these silver pearls and the neckline is smaller than on the backside. But the back is pleated which elongates you a lot. But I'll have some time to decide it. The next days I will begin to stitch the sequins on a piece of drapery and later on it will be stitched on the dress. I'm very excited about the final result. Wish me luck! ;)
